Wedding cake disasters!

I have spoken to so many wedding supplier friends of mine at a meeting the other week and they all rushed to tell me about the wedding cake they witnessed collapsing!  They were all at different weddings and different venues so this got me thinking!

I spoke to a few hotel people and other suppliers and was amazed to here this happens!!

The problem seem to be that a friend or family member voulenteers to make the wedding cake and have little or no experience and think they can save money on having a home made cake.

This may be all well and good but would you really want the lasting memory of your wedding day to be a disaster - the cake collapsing??  Surley you would want the lasting memory of your special day to be about YOU how lovely you looked how lovely the service was,  how great the venue was.  How horrible would it be that all people would remember would be ' do you remember their wedding - there's was the one with the cake collapsing!!!'

Just a thought to consider when deciding on where to cut back on your budet - do you want this to happen to you - really a cake should be for the proffessionals!

Well this is scary I'm now blogging!!  (well hopefully!!)

Been really busy this week making lots of Birthday cakes and a fab Malteaser Wedding cake for a lovely couple for Saturday at Bletchley Park.
